James has been an active member of IALEIA since 1996 and is the former President of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Since 2004 he has been an active instructor with the FIAT program. He has an extensive intelligence background starting as a U.S. Army Intelligence officer. While in the Army, he served in a variety of duty positions and locations throughout the United States, Germany and Afghanistan.
James most recently completed 16 years with the U.S. Justice Department, National Drug Intelligence Center. He is currently an independent contractor and just completed 18 months in Afghanistan working intelligence issues specializing in the illegal heroin trade and its impact on funding for terrorist groups conducting operations against coalition forces.
