Melissa Johnson Rogers, CICA
Melissa Rogers is a Certified Criminal Intelligence Analyst and has over fifteen years of law enforcement intelligence experience managing analytical projects, investigations and training seminars. She is currently the Senior Intelligence Specialist for the New Jersey Department of Corrections, Special Investigations Division. She identifies criminal activity, prepares intelligence products and trains staff on intelligence regulations. Prior to working at the NJDOC, she worked as a Crime Analyst at New Jersey State Police. Rogers assisted the agency with developing COMPSTAT processes and analyzed serial and spree offenses. She was an adjunct professor at Monmouth University for over ten years. Rogers teaches online and currently works as a training consultant for intelligence, analysis and crime mapping seminars.
Rogers has been a member of IALEIA for twelve years and currently serves as the Mid-Atlantic Chapter President. Before starting her family, she was elected to IALEIA Executive Board positions fulfilling both the Membership and Communications roles. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Rutgers University, School of Criminal Justice. Rogers looks forward to serving the IALEIA membership and participating in projects to improve professionalism in our field.
