Jenny’s career in Law Enforcement began over 28 years ago as a sworn Customs Inspector with Canada Customs working at Vancouver International Airport. In 1993 she became an Intelligence Analyst with Canada Customs and during that time worked as part of a joint task Force with the RCMP focusing on cross border contraband smuggling. In 2001 she joined the RCMP as a civilian intelligence analyst and during her career worked on Eastern European Organized crime as part of a team conducting an intelligence probe, Border related issues as part of an Integrated Border Intelligence Team with officers and analysts from several agencies in both Canada and the United States, as a tactical analyst as part of a newly created Integrated Gang Task Force and as part of the Coordinated Forces Special Enforcement Unit Outlaw Motorcycle Gang section. Jenny has also worked as a tactical analyst with the Federal and Serious Organized Crime Unit of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Vancouver, Canada where she worked on cases with a national scope including terrorism, organized crime, drugs, border related issues, and proceeds of crime. Prior to that, she served as a strategic briefing Analyst assigned to the office of the (RCMP) Deputy Commissioner West. Jenny has instructed overseas in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Colombia, Peru, Panama and Malaysia where she was responsible for developing and delivering training and writing training manuals about such topics as structured analytical techniques, strategic analysis, ethics, professionalism, intelligence led policing and the intelligence cycle. She currently is an adjunct professor at the Justice Institute of BC where she teaches a variety of courses concerning intelligence analysis at both the under graduate and graduate level as well as visiting foreign law enforcement students. She is the President and owner of JJ Analytics and Consulting, a company focused on providing training in all aspects of intelligence and anlaysis. Jenny is currently completing a MSc in Intelligence Studies and is a Lifetime Criminal Intelligence Certified Analyst the Immediate Past President of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) and currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board. She is also a member of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE).
